At C3 Church Watson, our many Beyond Outreach Teams connect with both local and international community groups to meet practical, emotional, and spiritual needs across North Canberra, helping people encounter Jesus.
We become the hands and feet of Jesus in our community by demonstrating His love in practical and supportive ways. As we know from Romans 2:4, it is the kindness of God that leads people to repentance.
If you’re interested in getting involved, have a ministry you’re passionate about, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Beyond Director, Sarah Hill, at beyond@c3churchwatson.com or call the church office 6241 7000.

Nourish
At C3 Watson our Nourish team provides practical support of a meal to someone in our church or local community during a time of need. You can choose how often you are available to be on the roster to cook a meal that will be frozen and supplied when needed.
Kids Hope
Kids Hope is a school based early intervention mentoring program for Primary Schools that enhances the social and emotional development of children by building confidence and resilience through one-to-one mentoring relationship for students who need some extra care and support. With almost 250 schools across Australia participating in our program, we see thousands of children receiving an hour of mentoring each week from a dedicated and focused mentor.
At C3 Watson we are building a team of mentors who will go into Majura Primary school to visit the same child for 1 hour once a week for at least one year.
Sandwich Blessings
At C3 Watson, our Sandwich Blessings team makes sandwiches for children at two local primary schools who arrive at school without lunch. Around 60 sandwiches are prepared on the Sunday before or after the first week of each school term, helping children start their day well-fed and cared for.
Watson Friends
The Watson Friends team hosts a monthly sausage sizzle for residents of our local ACT Housing flats. It’s all about building relationships and trust. As we eat and chat together, people are free to share at their own pace. We’ve seen God open opportunities to pray with some residents and are believing for many more.
Serve Month
Each September, C3 Watson intentionally increases our volunteering, with members actively serving our local community. Last year this included home maintenance for those in need, care bags for families of ICU patients, food and hygiene packs for youth and adult emergency housing, an appreciation morning tea at our local primary school, a BBQ at the local skatepark, and church kids assembling gifts for children entering crisis accommodation with a safe parent, among other initiatives.
Emergency Food & Hygiene packs
C3 Watson partners with Missionheart to support people facing significant life challenges. These packs are a small but powerful way of showing care and dignity to those who need it most.
Rahab Ministries
Restores, inspires, and assists those who feel trapped in the sex industry.
Rahab is a group of women and men who reach out to the sex workers in Australia, offering a lifeline of hope and restoration to those who feel trapped in the sex industry. We visit brothels, massage parlours and women that work on the streets to offer support and assistance in a variety of areas. There are over 20 Rahab teams ministering in SA, VIC, NSW, QLD, TAS and ACT.
Our teams are made up of Christian volunteers from different churches across Canberra, all moved by the love of God to see people dignified and empowered.
C3 Watson is the lead church for the Canberra Rahab team, which includes participants from over seven churches. Together, we engage with sex workers across Canberra by sharing conversation, gifts, prayer, and moments of listening—bringing the light of Christ into dark places and impacting lives one at a time.
International Justice Mission (IJM)
International Justice Mission is a global organisation with a plan to eliminate the slave trade everywhere. IJM collaborate with the justice system and community leaders to respond effectively to violence.
IJM partner with local authorities to rescue individual victims of violence and restore survivors to safety and stability. They work with justice system officials to ensure that criminals are held accountable, stopping the cycle of violence and deterring criminals. IJM equip champions to advocate for protection as an essential and tangible future for everyone.
At C3 Watson, you can become a Freedom Partner with IJM and be part of the C3 Watson IJM team. Together we support IJM in rescuing children from online sexual exploitation and providing care and restoration after rescue.
Christmas Hampers
Every Christmas, C3 Watson prepares food and Christmas treat hampers to share with community groups we support through our Beyond programs—such as Kids Hope, Watson Friends, local primary schools, and Missionheart—along with our wider community relationships.
C3 is a church planting movement, and we believe that planting a church in a community is the most effective way to bring the gospel to that place. Through C3 Beyond, we actively support new church plants.
In December 2013 we sent Nathan and Lisa Oliver with their three children, Samara, Toby and Evie, to Edinburgh to plant a local church. C3 Edinburgh continues to grow and thrive under Pastors Struan and Abigail Wardlaw who took over the reins from the Olivers in late 2022.

In October 2024, we launched our Beyond Month and Serve Day! This will continue on happening once a year, and we know it is going to continue to grow. It is an opportunity for our church to reach out in practical ways to serve our community. This is a way we can be ‘rich in good works’ and to ‘let our light shine’ - reminding our community that everybody matters to God.
The video below highlights our Serve Day in 2024.
